How It Works

We use a patented process involving a controlled low oxygen atmosphere with water-vaporized air to inhibit combustion and increase the air's BTU capacity. This enables effective cleaning at lower temperatures and avoidance of temperature extremes from fires typical of alternative thermal cleaning processes.

This highly-controlled temperature and humidity environment helps enable cleaning at temperatures that prevent melting, warpage and metal fatigue, and also negates the need to thermally-shock the parts with water spray to extinguish fires.

Why is this better?

Thermal cleaning ovens typically operate at 600°F to 900°F and exceed 1200°F when the prop tools being cleaned catch fire. Our patented humid injection technology cleans at lower temperatures within a controlled temperature range in a fire-inhibiting environment.

The Importance of Clean Prop Tools

Clean prop tools improve paint quality by:

  • Minimizing dirt defects caused by the fixtures and racks collecting and dropping dirt on freshly finished parts.
  • Maintaining optimum prop tool surface conductivity in charged powder and electro-coat finishing systems. This maximizes transfer efficiency providing more even coverage. It also reduces the potential for fire in the paint booth caused by arcing.
