| CoatingsOPS automates
paint application to produce more products with less paint while
improving quality. Right from the start the task is simplified by
automatically assigning a "paint recipe" to a batch of parts with
a bar code scanner. The batch is tracked through the paint line
and at the precise time all painting parameters are automatically
adjusted. All process information including paint usage and transfer
efficiency is automatically recorded.
• Control fluid flows, kV, disk speed &
conveyor speed
• Automate color change and reduce time
• Automatic paint triggers
• Manage paint recipes
• Monitor VOC emissions
Recipe Manager:
The Recipe Manager is used at the load station
to “attach” painting instructions to a batch of parts.
This method allows coating consistency from shift-to-shift, day-to-day
and week-to-week improving customer satisfaction and reducing costs
regardless of the operator.
The self-teaching feature of the Recipe Manager
makes building the recipe database effortless. As a part is being
processed the painting parameters are adjusted, fine tuned and saved
with the push of a button. The next time the part is processed the
optimized recipe will be used. This process can be repeated until
the best recipe is created.
Recipe Manager integrates with existing operations
software (ERP) utilizing stored information to relate batches to
sales orders and part information. This allows quality traceability
back to a sales order and takes advantage of part information for
cost calculations.
The Recipe Manager reporting system provides a
wealth of information. By tracking each batch, process conditions,
paint used, transfer efficiency, parts processed and cost to process
the batch is all known. Let your imagination go to work on how this
information can benefit your organization.
Highlights:
• Barcode interface to job tickets
• Recipes are built & adjusted on-the-fly
• Batch tracking & quality traceability
• Interface to existing ERP systems
• Extensive reports: Paint usage, transfer efficiency, batch
cost, SPC reports
Process Control Functions
Once the instructions are provided by the Recipe
Manager the CoatingOPS™ controller takes over. Reliably the
controller implements the recipe instructions. For maximum flexibility,
the paint room operator can manually adjust the batch sequence and
any parameter, monitor the status and receive alarm notifications
from the graphical touch screen interface.
System Highlights:
• Part (batch) tracking
• Automatic triggering
• Closed loop fluid control
• kV control
• Disc speed control
• Reciprocator control
• Automatic color change
